St. Louis Multiple Movent Conference: What an amazing 4 days. We had the 40 Texas/Oklahoma Campus and Metro Directors fly up to St. Louis for a Multiple Movement Conference. I enjoyed speaking and working with the staff from TX/OK. It’s exciting to think what could happen if the Staff return home and with a greater sense of ownership of putting the gospel within arm-reach of every college student in TX/OK. A highlight for me was hanging out with St. Louis Metro Directors Dan and Holly Allan. Another highlight was eating at Ted Drewes, a local favorite for frozen custard.
Oaxaca: Our National Congreso (Christmas Conference) was held in Cuernavaca, Mexico during the week of Easter. This year we had 34 students attend this conference from Oaxaca including 20 new believers involved in our ministry. That’s incredible. A note I received from Oaxaca this weeks said that during the Congreso:
- 7 students signed the Millenium Pledge, which is dedicating at least one year of their lives to full-time ministry for Jesus.
- 2 students who had only gone to our meetings regularly before gave their lives to Jesus.
I helped start our ministry in Oaxaca and lived in Oaxaca during my Stint year. During the past number of years our ministry has been student-lead, and is coached by our Dan Gerard, the National Catalytic Director in Mexico. I’m just thrilled to see lives being impacted for eternity through our ministry in Oaxaca.
Dennis and Lesha: My friends the Raney’s are coming this weekend from the Kearney area. It’s a trade off. Dennis is going to lay tile in the Kamp Ed bunkhouse bathroom. In return, I’ll take him fishing (after he lays the tile) and give him the chance to land a big bass in our lake. Right now is when some of the biggest bass and walleye are caught in our lake.
