My friend Tim Segard spent this past week here in Mexico City working with my team and I. Tim lives in Nashville with Dawn and his two amazing kids, and works for the Dave Ramsey organization. Each year Tim has the option of taking a week of field ministry, and this year he came to Mexico City.
Tim has been my good friend since college. Over the years when we've done things like taken the Euro Rail through Europe crazy things always happen. This time the legendary stories were the massive traffic jam we were trapped in at an intersection that would not move for over 1/2 an hour because the vehicles causing the jam would not budge, and driving through one of the prominent areas of the city and seeing 500 barely clad farmers protesting. The kids in my neighborhood will be talking about Tim for a long time---they've never met anyone so tall.
Tim met with our staff to give training and insights on financial management, and went to campuses with me to meet with leaders who are in the process of starting movements. I was so awesome to have Tim here to consult with me as we finish year one of our three year plan to launch movements on every campus in this city, and I'm deeply encouraged.
