I was back at Kamp Ed for a few days before and after attending our regional staff leadership conference in Estes Park. My time at Kamp Ed refreshed me to the core, and I'm full of joy to spend time with friends, family, and soak up every minute of October at Kamp Ed. My mother drove down to Kamp Ed and my friend Kathryn visited from New Orleans. I spent a day in Kearney, and spoke to Julie Ditons's 5th grade Sunday school class to get them excited about their Kamp Ed mission's trip next summer. Then I had the joy of connecting with the students in the Pike House, and stayed up past 3:30 a.m. coaching these leaders in the fraternity I've worked with since 1990. I was able to see Brett Brown play in his 8th grade football game in Omaha, and spent an evening picking fall mushrooms around Kamp Ed with Tom Clements. The fall colors at Kamp Ed were amazing, and it was great to connect with my neighbors and friends around the lake at Kamp Ed. I returned to Mexico City with a full tank to jump into the next 7 weeks before Christmas of believing God for city-wide transformation.
